Thursday 17th July at 8pm, Seallam!, Northton, Harris: Damien O'Kane and Shona Kipling - Shona is one of the leading piano accordionists in the country and Damien is an outstanding tenor banjo player and guitarist as well as being hailed as 'one the finest singers around'

Friday 27th June  at 3pm – Opening of 2 new St Kilda Exhibitions - The Sea Routes to St Kilda by Bill Lawson and Transient Horizon – Artworks by Jane Harlington - Seallam! Visitor Centre, Northton 

14th – 28th July – Muir is Tir – Art Exhibition by Margarita Williams – The Colours of the Hebridean Landscape and Sea - Seallam! Visitor Centre

Tuesday 15th July – Steve Cousins and Friends – Circus Activities and more - Workshops starting 3pm with an Evening Show - School Playing Field, Tarbert and School Gym - Donations only 

Wednesday 16th July - Watercolour Workshop with Margarita Williams at The MacGillivray Centre Northton at 2pm - £10/£8 

Tuesday 5th August – Concert with Maggie MacInnes and Brian McAlpine - Songs, Harp, Accordion and Keyboard - Community Centre, Tarbert – 8.30pm £8/£6/£3 

Thursday 7th August – Concert with Ishbel MacAskill at Seallam! Visitor Centre – 8pm - £8/£6/£3  

Tuesday September 9th Jamie Laval and Ashley Broder – Fiddle and Mandolin from North Carolina, Taigh Mo Sheanar, Harris Hotel, Tarbert at 8.30pm £8/£6/£3

Oidhche Chiadain aig Taigh mo Sheanar –  May to September -Weekly Wednesday night Slides, Songs and Stories - Topics vary each week              Venue: Taigh mo Sheanar, Harris Hotel, Tarbert                                                    Bill Lawson and Local Singers - Includes Harris Tweed evenings with dyers, spinners, weavers and the luadh group, Crotal.

The main Festival is held early in August but there are weekly events held in the Harris Hotel function room, Taigh mo Sheanar. Here you can relax in the evening and listen to stories of Harris and the offshore islands including St Kilda. You can hear the true traditional songs of the islands and see slides of the magnificent scenery of Harris.

At times during the summer the craftspeople of Harris hold evenings where they display their skills in the making of Harris Tweed accompanied by the songs associated with the making of Tweed.

Other events are hosted for the Hebridean Celtic Festival in July 2008.  

Thursday 17th July at 8pm, Seallam!, Northton, Harris: Damien O'Kane and Shona Kipling - Shona is one of the leading piano accordionists in the country and Damien is an outstanding tenor banjo player and guitarist as well as being hailed as 'one the finest singers around'. An extremely gifted pairing, this instrumental and vocal duo play an array of traditional and self penned tunes and songs originating and influenced mainly from the Irish tradition creating a sound which is exhilarating, passionate, skilful and unique. Venue - Seallam! - Located in Northton in the southern end of Harris this facility features a year round exhibition on the history and natural environment of the Hebrides and St Kilda as well as fine Hebridean books and music. Catering for up to 60 people this is a lovely small venue in one of the most scenic areas of the islands.
